Tuesday Treasure Tips
Let a Torn Edge Stay
Paper offers more than its printed pattern. Its edges can become part of the design, too.
Try tearing a small scrap slowly, then place it behind a cleanly cut shape. Depending on the paper, the tear may reveal pale fibers or a softly feathered edge.
Leave a little of that texture visible.
Move the top layer until you find a balance you like. A narrow torn border may be plenty; another page might suit a wider, more irregular piece.
Take a moment to enjoy what the paper itself has added. Some lovely details happen between your fingers and the edge of a sheet.
Try This Today
Tear a strip from a scrap of paper and place it behind a rectangular label. Compare it with a straight-cut strip before gluing down the version you prefer.
