The Story Behind Moonlit Woods
A Path, Seven Woodland Friends, and a Story That Kept Growing

Moonlit Woods began with a walkthrough booklet.
I wanted to create a journey down a moonlit path, meeting seven different animals along the way. The woods would have their own special magic—the kind that makes you pause, look a little closer, and wonder what might be waiting around the next bend.
A booklet gave that idea somewhere to happen.
Instead of simply looking at a woodland scene, you could turn a page and travel farther into it. An opening could offer a glimpse of what came next. A hidden detail could give you a reason to linger. The paper itself could become part of the storytelling.
Along the path, you meet a fox, mouse, hedgehog, owl, raccoon, rabbit, and deer. There are bellflowers among the trees, a lantern to follow, and a waterfall beneath a moonbow. Midnight blue, warm cream, violet flowers, and touches of golden light give the woods their evening glow.
Then the story kept growing.
The original journey became a collection with coordinating journal pages, papers, and little pieces to tuck into pockets. Those woodland friends began to suggest more possibilities: a place for the owl’s wisdom, the raccoon’s moonlit observations, the hedgehog’s secret keys.
That became the Expanded Woods Collection, which brings the original collection together with twelve coordinating mini-project kits and additional designer papers. Each project offers another small corner of the same woods to explore.
What I love about that is the room it leaves for your own stories.
You might follow the original path through the walkthrough booklet. You might choose one little folio and make it for a friend. Or you might tuck a woodland creature beside a few words about an entirely ordinary day.
I hope you’ll take your time with these woods. Notice the small details. Choose the pieces that make you smile.
The path began with my idea. What you make along it will be yours.
